Custom Orthotics from a Chiropractor: A Whole-Body Approach to Pain Relief and Postural Support.

Why Orthotics from a Chiropractor?
If you’re dealing with knee pain, hip discomfort or lower back pain, your feet may be part of the problem. Our chiropractors provide custom-made orthotics designed to support the structure of your body from the ground up.
These orthotics are not generic. They're tailored to reinforce the spinal and postural changes made during chiropractic treatment, helping maintain results and prevent further stress on joints.
You may have been told, “It’s just your age.” But if that were true, why does wear and arthritis only affect one hip or knee? The answer often lies in how your body moves and absorbs load unevenly.
How Our Dynamic Gait Scan Works
Unlike traditional assessments that observe you standing still, our clinic uses a dynamic gait scan that captures how your feet function while moving.
As you walk across a digital pressure plate, the system measures:
Heel strike force
Degree of pronation (inward foot roll)
Push-off pressure through the forefoot
These factors are critical to understanding movement mechanics. The scan reveals subtle imbalances that may not be visible but contribute to joint strain and asymmetrical walking patterns.
Orthotics are then created by trained technicians and podiatrists in Canada based on this data, ensuring they’re tailored to your exact biomechanical needs.
When to Consider Orthotics
Custom orthotics may be beneficial if you:
Stand or walk for long hours
Have had hip, knee or ankle injuries
Experience chronic lower back or pelvic pain
Notice uneven wear on your shoes
Have a leg length discrepancy or scoliosis
Haven’t found relief with generic orthotics
Leg Length Discrepancies and Heel Lifts
Our chiropractors also assess true anatomical leg length, which can only be measured accurately using X-rays. If one leg is shorter, it creates asymmetry in the pelvis and spine.
In these cases, we prescribe a heel lift built into the orthotic: a key reason why many previous orthotics haven’t helped. Addressing leg length is essential for long-term postural balance, and our approach is both objective and measurable.

Orthotics from a chiropractor are more than arch support; they are a full-body, clinically measured tool that supports your spine, improves walking mechanics, and protects the outcomes of your Chiropractic care.
